Renowned Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle on Wednesday reacted to England’s dominance over Pakistan on day three in the first Test match at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bhogle said: “How can a team make 556 and give the impression that the other team is controlling the game.”
Pakistan bowlers had quite a tough outing against England’s batters, who showed significant resistance.
Joe Root had surpassed former England batting great Alastair Cook in terms of scoring the most runs for England.
– Pietersen laments pitch conditions –
Separately, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen lamented the pitch conditions during the first Test match between Pakistan and England in Multan on Wednesday.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pietersen said: “Still a bowlers graveyard! If this wicket doesn’t crumble and produce a result, it’s helping destroy Test cricket.”
He also acknowledged the role of veteran English batter Joe Root, who notched his 35th century in the red-ball format.
“The main character! Huge congrats to a great man. Joe Root,” he added.
