During October, authorities confiscated a staggering 1,220 stocks of cigarettes, 30 fabric rolls, and 0.087 million litres of Iranian oil nationwide.
Law enforcement agencies reported the seizure of 890 cigarette stocks in Multan and 330 in Quetta. Additionally, 0.002 million litres of Iranian oil were recovered from Multan, 0.004 million litres from Karachi, and 0.081 million litres from Quetta, alongside 30 fabric rolls seized in Karachi.
Since September 1, 2023, a total of 13,088.75 metric tons of fertilizers, 3,613.18 metric tons of flour, 35,128.9 metric tons of sugar, 4,345,995 cigarette stocks, 154,104 fabric rolls, and 17.119 million litres of Iranian oil have been confiscated across the country.
Law enforcement agencies remain committed to their efforts against smuggling to help Pakistan navigate through these challenging times and restore economic stability.
