In a successful operation against terrorism, security forces in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killed nine foreign militants, including two suicide bombers, in a fierce exchange of fire.
The operation, carried out on the night of October 23-24, was based on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army.
Among the dead was a high-value target, foreign ring leader Syed Muhammad alias Qureshi Ustad, a key figure involved in several terrorist acts against security forces and civilians. The operation targeted Khawarij militants, with significant arms, ammunition, and explosives recovered from the scene.
The ISPR stated that the operation, part of the ongoing efforts to root out terrorism, highlights the military's unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorist elements within the country. A clearance operation is currently underway to ensure the complete removal of any remaining threats in the area.
The successful operation underscores the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to maintaining peace and stability across the region, and further dismantling terrorist networks.
