Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa presided over his final day of hearings in the Supreme Court today, where he addressed a total of 10 cases.
The judicial proceedings saw the bench, which included Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shahid Bilal, resolve four of the cases while six were adjourned for future consideration.
As the Chief Justice wrapped up his duties, judicial staff reported that there was no cause list for tomorrow’s sitting, marking a significant transition in the court’s leadership. Lawyer Farooq Malik extended his best wishes to Chief Justice Isa, acknowledging the end of an era in the Supreme Court.
In a heartfelt response, Chief Justice Isa remarked, “If there is life, I will meet you tomorrow,” indicating his commitment to the legal community.
