England leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed said on Friday that the pitch conditions at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi are quite ideal for the spinners.
Addressing a press conference following the end of the second day of the final Test match, Ahmed said: “We had a good first session before the lunch. But now, we are looking to try different things.”
“With the passage of time, the ball will become soft, which in turn will help our batters score runs,” he added.
He expressed optimism about rebounding the innings despite losing three successive wickets against the Sajid-Noman spin duo. “Hopefully, we will get runs on the board tomorrow.”
Speaking about his experience visiting Pakistan, Ahmed said, “It’s been great to be here. Plus, knowing Urdu is quite beneficial for me.”
Meanwhile, Ahmed spearheaded the England's bowling lineup, bagging four wickets.
