Muhammad Rizwan, the newly appointed captain of the Pakistan cricket team, expressed both honor and determination in his new role during an interview with PCB Digital.
Rizwan emphasized that he has never actively sought the captaincy but is committed to fulfilling the responsibilities that come with it.
“The characteristic of a captain is to hold the team together,” he stated, highlighting the importance of unity within the squad. Rizwan also noted the presence of young talent in the team, promising a fresh and dynamic performance in upcoming matches.
Reflecting on past experiences, he acknowledged the challenges Pakistan has faced in Australia, recalling a recent Test series where they narrowly avoided defeat. “It is not necessary that if you did not win in the past, you will not be able to win in the future,” Rizwan remarked, conveying optimism for the future.
Rizwan assured fans that the team is ready to fight for success. He also stressed the need for future leaders, stating, “My vision is that Pakistan's captain should be ready in backup,” indicating his desire to nurture upcoming talent within the team.
