– Petrol shortage expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa –
Earlier, it was reported on Monday that the ongoing PTI protests had disrupted the supply chain of petroleum products, sparking concerns over an imminent fuel shortage in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Abdul Sami Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, said the closure of roads has caused the suspension of supplies to petrol pumps in both provinces. "There are reports of petrol and diesel running out at some pumps. The government should take immediate steps for uninterrupted supply," he urged, adding that tankers are unable to reach Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
