Islamabad police personnel busy on their mobile phones were looted along with other people in Dhok Paracha area of the federal capital on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Sangjani Police Station.
The armed robbers looted and robbed cash and mobile phones from 15 people, including two police officers.
The two police officers, who were from the Eagle Squad, were sitting at a hotel when they were robbed on their mobile phones and weapons.
After going some distance, the robbers threw away the guns and fled with the rest of the stolen property.
Police are still unable to trace the suspects.
On October 11, Islamabad police arrested 11 criminals from different parts of the city. They also seized drugs and weapons with ammunition from the suspects' possession.
Last week, Islamabad police released a new app called ICT-15 which is designed to make the city safer and help prevent crime.
The app was created on the orders of Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Akbar Bugti and is available for download on the Google Play Store.
