The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has prepared a reference against PTI President Parvez Elahi, his son Moonis Elahi and others on allegations of corruption and receiving kickbacks in development projects in Gujrat.
The bureau has nominated Parvez Elahi, Moonis, Muhammad Khan Bhatti and others. Parvez Elahi has been accused of misusing his authority and causing a loss to the national exchequer.
He is also alleged to have approved development projects against the rules and received kickbacks in return. His son Moonis allegedly finalized the share in kickbacks with the officials concerned.
Moonis also purchased 384 kanals worth Rs72 million from the bribe he received.
An amount of Rs100 million was deposited in the account of former principal secretary to the chief minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, according to sources.
After an approval from the NAB chairman, the reference will be filed in an accountability court.
