On Tuesday, February 4, the Saudi Riyal (SAR) exchange rate for Pakistani Rupees (PKR) increased slightly, reaching Rs74.39 in Pakistan’s open market.
The selling rate also saw a rise, with the Riyal being sold for Rs74.60 on the second day of the new business week.
The Saudi Riyal, abbreviated as SAR or SR, is the official currency of Saudi Arabia, with one Riyal subdivided into 100 halalas.

Pakistan's large expatriate community in Saudi Arabia remains a significant source of remittances. In December 2024 alone, overseas Pakistanis in the kingdom sent a record remittance of $770.6 million.
This amount marked a 6% increase from the previous month and was 33% higher than the $577.6 million sent in the same month of the previous year.
