Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Mian Rauf Atta separately met Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi and Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq to discuss judicial matters and recent developments in the legal system.
According to a statement issued by the SCBA, the meetings focused on the overall performance of the judiciary and ongoing reforms. Balochistan High Court Bar President Mir Attaullah Langove was also present during the discussions.
During the meeting with CJP Afridi, Mian Rauf Atta lauded his initiatives for judicial improvements and acknowledged his role as the chairman of the Judicial Commission. He praised the recent appointments made by the Judicial Commission, calling them "the need of the hour" for strengthening the judiciary.
Similarly, in his meeting with Chief Justice Farooq, the SCBA president commended the appointment of new judges, emphasizing their role in ensuring timely and effective justice delivery. "The induction of competent judges will help address legal backlogs and reduce problems faced by the common citizens," he remarked.
Bar presidents attending the meetings expressed their support for judicial initiatives, with particular praise for Chief Justice Yahya Afridi’s leadership. They also appreciated Justice Aamer Farooq’s role in overseeing the transfer of high court judges.
