Multan judicial magistrate Shahid Hassan Mughal has issued arrest warrants for Gilani brothers over contempt of court in a case related to interference in government affairs during the COVID-19 ordinance.
The warrants have been issued for MNAs Abdul Qadir Gilani, Ali Musa Gilani, Ali Qasim Gilani, and MPA Ali Haider Gilani. The Chehlek Police Station has been ordered to arrest the accused and present them before the court.
Additionally, arrest warrants have also been issued for former MPA Usman Bhatti and 19 others. The accused were charged under violations of the ordinance and obstruction of official duties at Chehlek Police Station.
According to court records, the accused repeatedly failed to appear before the court despite multiple summons.
