A tragic bomb blast near a vehicle in Shahrag, Harnai has left 10 coal mine workers dead and 6 others injured, according to Levies officials.
Authorities confirm that the explosion occurred near a vehicle carrying coal miners, all of whom were from Swat. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Condemnations and Government Response
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack, extending heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. He directed local authorities to ensure the best medical care for the injured and reaffirmed his commitment to eliminating terrorism from the province.
He emphasized, "Terrorists targeting innocent civilians deserve no leniency. We will continue decisive action against those disrupting Balochistan’s peace."
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives, stating, "It is heartbreaking to see innocent workers being targeted. Our security forces are actively working to prevent such heinous incidents."
He further added that those who attack innocent civilians deserve no mercy and prayed for the deceased and their grieving families.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack, offering condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He reiterated that "those who target innocent people are inhumane and will be brought to justice."
Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident, as authorities vow to strengthen anti-terrorism measures in the region.
