Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat challenged on Thursday the party’s secretary general, Salman Akram Raja to a public debate.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV’s programme " Red Line With Talat Hussain", Marwat expressed his readiness to face any punishment if Raja could prove any violation of party discipline on his part.
However, he demanded that Raja must apologise publicly if he fails to provide evidence.
Marwat stated that Raja was free to engage in a debate with any anchor of his choice.
Marwat added that Raja had never held a rally in Punjab or even spent time in jail.
He accused Raja of parachuting into the position of the secretary general, which, according to party rules, should be held by an elected individual.
Regarding accusations by Raja that Marwat had insulted him, Marwat denied the allegations.
He said: "I can never insult Raja, even in his dreams."
