Prime Minsiter Shehbaz Sharif reached on Tuesday Uzbekistan on a two-day visit from Azerbaijan.
According to details, PM Shehbaz scheduled to meet Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The talks will be held on boosting the ties between both Pakistan and Uzbekistan in the fields of trade, investment, defence and power sectors.
Both the countries will also sign in the memorandums of understanding (MoUs).
PM Shehbaz will address the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum. He will also visit the Technopark in Tashkent.
The Pakistan's premier was welcomed by Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov, Bakhtiyor Saidov and Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan Ahmed Farooq with great hospitality.
PM Shehbaz was flanked by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Tariq Fatemi.
Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz paid a visit to the Monument to the Independence of Uzbekistan, accompanied by Uzbek PM Aripov.
PM Shehbaz commended the abilities of Uzbekistan to steer towards prosperity and overcome the challenges.
The premier acknowledged Uzbekistan and Pakistan’s common vision for peace, prosperity, and regional connectivity.
“My visit is about resolving to work together for the sake of the shared values and bright future,” said PM Shehbaz.
