Air Commodore Noman Ali Khan said on Wednesday that Pakistan’s response to India’s aggression in February 2019 was a calculated and deliberate retaliation.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme "Nadeem Malik Live", Khan spoke about the remarkable success of "Operation Swift Retort".
Khan said: "The operation was executed flawlessly and with precision, ensuring that India would never forget the response it received."
He added, "On February 26, 2019, when the enemy made their move, there was no question of not responding."
Khan said: "On the nature of the attack, explaining that Pakistan’s strike was meticulously planned to avoid civilian casualties."
"When their aircraft appeared in front of us, we had no option but to shoot," he said.
Reflecting on the Indian reaction, Khan said: "India was rattled by Pakistan’s strike, and in their panic, they attempted a counterattack without proper preparation or planning, only to end up shooting down their own helicopter."
