Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi on Thursday called for embracing meritocracy to uplift the Pakistan national cricket team.
Expressing his thoughts, the teams and players should be reduced in the domestic cricket to keep the competition between the players alive.
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts after the Champions Trophy 2025 debacle, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan said: “We could not fulfil the demands of the nation.”
“There is no excuse for the failures. However, we will look to learn from the mistakes,” said Rizwan.
