President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Lahore on Thursday, where a significant meeting with the President of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Nawaz Sharif, was expected.
Sources divulged that the discussion would revolve around the issues faced by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Punjab.
According to sources, the meeting aimed to provide an opportunity for detailed talks on resolving the challenges faced by the PPP in the province.
Additionally, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider was expected to attend the meeting.
Sources privy to the matter said that the meeting could lead to crucial decisions to address the PPP's concerns in Punjab.
President Zardari was also anticipated to meet with leaders from central Punjab to discuss party affairs and regional issues.
