The government announced on Friday the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel for the next fortnight, starting from March 1 (Saturday).
According to details, the price of petrol decreased by Rs0.50 per litre. The new price of petrol fixed at Rs255.63 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has decreased by Rs5.31 per litre, reaching Rs258.64 per litre.
The kerosene oil has also decreased by Rs3.53. The new price of kerosene oil reached Rs168.12 per litre.
Light diesel oil decreased by Rs2.47 per litre, reaching Rs153.34.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed the changes through an official notification.
