Former Pakistan former all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi said on Thursday that if it was possible for him, he would had appointed Saim Ayub as the Pakistan T20I captain.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme, “Zor Ka Jor”, Afridi said: “There is a need of such a captain who is having a selfless approach to the game.”
Afridi raised objections over the selection of Shadab Khan into the Pakistan squad for the New Zealand series.
He lamented the selection committee's selection of only one spinner for the Champions Trophy 2025.
“Now there is a need for one spinner, so the selection committee has picked up four spinners,” he said.
