The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced a reduction in electricity prices, bringing relief to consumers across Pakistan. The price cut has been implemented as part of the monthly fuel price adjustment.
According to Nepra’s separate notifications, electricity rates for Karachi consumers have been reduced by Rs3 per unit, while the rest of the country will see a reduction of Rs2.12 per unit.
Consumers will benefit from this reduction in their March electricity bills, as per the issued notification. The decrease in electricity prices for K-Electric consumers is based on the December 2024 fuel price adjustment, while the reduction for the rest of the country applies to January 2025’s adjustment.
Nepra has issued separate notifications for the electricity price reduction, ensuring that consumers across Pakistan receive some relief amid economic challenges.
