The Sindh government has announced that salaries and pensions for its employees will be disbursed ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, with payments scheduled for March 21.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, all government employees in the province will receive their dues earlier than usual to facilitate them in making preparations for the religious festival.
The decision comes as the country prepares for Eid, which, as per the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), is expected to fall on March 31.
However, if the Islamic month of Ramazan completes 30 days, Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on April 1 (Tuesday). The final decision regarding the moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
