Pakistan assistant head coach Azhar Mahmood on Wednesday decided to bid farewell to the Islamabad United in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to details, Mahmood had ended the agreement with the United due to the national duty. He extended his best wishes to the United for the forthcoming edition of the domestic premium tournament.
United had hired New Zealander Ian Buttler as a replacement of Mahmood.
Buttler will serve as the coach for the first team in the PSL.
It is pertinent to note that the United had won the previous edition title under the coaching of Mahmood, who once had a reputation of being a top-notch all-rounder in the T20 format, with the vast experience of playing in the English county and other leagues.
Mahmood had also represented the United in an inaugural edition of the PSL.
