The Sindh government has announced a two-day holiday for Hindu employees on the occasion of Holi, issuing a notification confirming leave on Thursday and Friday.
According to the official notification, the provincial government has granted leave to Hindu employees across Sindh in observance of the religious festival, which is widely celebrated by the Hindu community.
The holiday will allow employees to participate in festivities without work-related obligations.
Meanwhile, in neighbouring India, authorities have issued a strict advisory for Holi celebrations, particularly as the festival coincides with the holy month of Ramadan.
The Mumbai Police have outlined precautionary measures to ensure public order and religious harmony, with the advisory remaining in effect until March 18, 2025.
In Pakistan, discussions are also underway regarding the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has predicted that Ramadan will last 29 days this year, with Eid-ul-Fitr expected to fall on March 31, 2025. If confirmed, Eid holidays may begin on Monday, March 31, depending on the government's final announcement.
