Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has stated that India has been involved in terrorism in Pakistan. However, recent investigations have traced calls originating from Afghanistan. He added that in the past, Pakistan has shared evidence of such activities with the Afghan government.
During the weekly briefing, the spokesperson emphasized that Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders cannot stay in Pakistan indefinitely.
The government has decided that all foreign nationals residing illegally will be deported in accordance with the law.
Shafqat Ali Khan further stated that terrorist groups, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have safe havens in Afghanistan, which pose a major obstacle to regional stability. He reaffirmed that Pakistan has decided to repatriate all illegal Afghan residents after March 31.
The Foreign Office spokesperson also highlighted that Pakistan has existing laws to address the issue of illegal foreign residents. He assured that Afghan nationals with valid legal documents will be welcomed in the country. Additionally, he mentioned that ACC holders were granted special permission to stay in Pakistan, and policies regarding their status will be decided accordingly.
