A raid was carried out at the residence of Ahmed Mujtaba Wattoo, who is the brother of former first lady Bushra Bibi, with the intention of arresting him.
The Sahiwal Region's anti-corruption unit conducted raids last night in an attempt to arrest former members of the PTI assembly. However, it was unable to make the arrests.
The operation also involved raiding the homes of former PTI assembly members Rai Hassan Nawaz, Rai Murtaza Iqba, former MPA Naeem Ibrahim, and Saleem Sadiq.
Legal cases had been initiated against Ahmed Mujtaba Wattoo and others for their alleged involvement in causing significant financial losses to the public treasury.
Rai Hassan Nawaz and Murtaza Iqbal had face accusations of constructing commercial structures without paying the required fees.
Separately on Friday, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) issued the release order of the PTI activist Sanam Javed. The ATC issued release orders after the approval of the surety bonds in the case, but she was arrested again.
Sanam Javed was granted bail in the May 9 riots case. She was granted bail last week.

The women who were arrested again include Sanam Javed, Afshan Tariq, Ashmiya Shuja, and Shah Bano.
