Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez urged the management to “not go for more experiments” following the Green Shirts’ shortcomings against New Zealand in the fourth T20I on Sunday at the Mount Maunganui.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hafeez acknowledged Babar Azam’s experience in playing tough conditions of New Zealand.
“New Zealand conditions suits Babar Azam to regain his confidence scoring big in the middle because he has better technique as batter to survive and can play his range of shots with good, consistent bounce and pace,” Hafeez said.
Hafeez maintained: “He should bat at number 3 in white-ball formats. No more experiments, please!”
