Pakistan Test team captain Shan Masood was expected to be removed as Karachi Kings captain in the forthcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League.
Sources divulged that despite considering removing Masood as the captain, the Kings had not finalised the name of the new captain.
Meanwhile, the Kings had also decided to appoint the new coach for the tenth season of the domestic marquee tournament.
Phil Simmons had requested the franchise for withdrawal from coaching the Kings in the forthcoming season due to his engagements with the Bangladesh national cricket team.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was looking to appoint Phil Simmons as the national team's coach for long terms.
