Security arrangements for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are in full swing, with the deployment of army and Rangers personnel in key host cities—Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
According to Punjab’s Home Department spokesperson, one wing of the Rangers and two companies of the Pakistan Army have been requested for each city. Additionally, Special Services Group (SSG) commandos and Army Aviation helicopters have also been called in to assist with security operations.
The PSL 10 matches are scheduled to take place from April 11 to May 18, while the deployment of security personnel has been requested from April 6 to May 19 to ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators.
The league is expected to feature participation from international cricketers and match officials. A formal request for security deployment has been sent to the Federal Ministry of Interior, the Punjab Home Department confirmed.
