Karachi Kings wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hand injury ahead of their opening clash in Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, in a major blow to the team.
According to team sources, Litton sustained a hairline fracture in the thumb of his right hand during an intra-squad practice match on Thursday. The injury occurred when a ball struck his thumb, leaving him in visible discomfort.
Medical experts have recommended a minimum of two weeks of rest, making it impossible for the Bangladeshi star to continue in the tournament. Following the advice, Litton Das left for his home country, Bangladesh, earlier this morning for further recovery and treatment.
This development comes as a serious setback for the Karachi Kings, who are scheduled to play their first match of PSL 10 today (April 12) at their home ground against Multan Sultans. Litton, known for his quick reflexes behind the stumps and explosive batting at the top order, was expected to play a pivotal role for the franchise this season.
The Karachi Kings management has yet to announce a replacement, but sources suggest that an official statement is likely to be made soon.
