In view of alleged threats to their lives, the security institutions have advised former prime ministers and brothers Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif against getting together at the same spot.
The security agencies have asked Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif as well as their immediate family members not to travel together or gather at the same point. In view of the reports of threats, the security measures for both the brothers have also been beefed up.
The government has provided two jammers and other security equipment in the squad of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in addition to the VVIP protocol allocated to a former prime minister.

These additional measures have been taken for the security of the Sharif family following threat alerts.
Previously, shortly after his return to Pakistan after four years, Nawaz Sharif was provided the security protocol allocated to a former prime minister.

On October 21, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan from the UK after four years, and on reaching Lahore, addressed a public gathering of the party at Minar-e-Pakistan. The courts suspended his arrest warrants and granted him protective bail against his arrest in the multiple cases against him.
