The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Saturday issued a weather forecast predicting hot and dry conditions across most parts of the country for the next 24 hours.
According to the meteorological department, continental air masses are prevailing over a majority of Pakistan, resulting in sweltering temperatures and humidity in the plains.
Most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain hot and dry, with a chance of rain, strong winds, and thundershowers in Dir, Swat, and Kohistan.
Hot and humid conditions are anticipated in most parts of Punjab.
Similar to Punjab, the weather will remain hot and humid in regions of Balochistan and Sindh
In Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is expected to remain dry and partly cloudy.
While being partly cloudy during the day, Kashmir may experience heavy winds and thundershowers in some areas in the afternoon.
The Meteorological Department also reported significant rainfall in several locations.
The highest recorded rainfall occurred at Zero Point in Islamabad, with 30mm of rain. Additionally, Bokra received 24mm of rain, while Rawalpindi experienced 15mm of precipitation in Shamsabad and 6mm in Chaklala.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kakul received 18mm of rainfall.
In the last 24 hours, the weather in most regions remained hot and humid. Notably, the highest maximum temperatures recorded during this period were in Dadu, Khairpur, and Rahim Yar Khan, reaching scorching highs of 44°C.
