Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has claimed that registered Afghan refugees are not being repatriated, adding that those who do not possess any documents are being sent back.
The caretaker PM said this while talking to the media during his visit to Lahore. He further said that illegal immigrants will be sent back to their countries.
“No country in the world allows people to live illegally,” he claimed, adding that citizens of any country could come to Pakistan with a visa.
Kakar further said that announcing a date for polls was the job of the election commission.
He insisted that the election commission had not imposed any ban on the PTI, asking how the caretaker government could act illegally and unconstitutionally.
“A ban on the PTI is not a mandate of the caretaker government,” Kakar stressed, adding that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s loyal candidates will take part in the elections.
He also remarked that there should be a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, adding that Pakistan strongly condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza.
“Aid should be provided to the people of Gaza,” the prime minister stressed.
