Big setback for New Zealand's cricket team, fast bowler Matt Henry has been forced to withdraw from the ICC World Cup 2023 due to an injury.
According to the New Zealand Cricket, Henry sustained an injury during a match against South Africa in Pune on Wednesday, and his recovery is expected to take two to four weeks.
As per the board officials, in place of the injured fast bowler, Kyle Jamieson has been included in the Black Caps squad for the tournament.
Gary Stead, the coach of the New Zealand cricket team, expressed concerns about Henry's condition and mentioned that the entire team is worried about his injury.

Stead added that Henry has been an integral part of their One-Day International squad for a considerable period, and his absence from this tournament is indeed disappointing for the team.
On the bright side, Kyle Jamieson arrived in Bangalore on Thursday and is expected to join the team for a training session on Friday. The Kiwi coach stated that Jamieson is ready to participate in the scheduled matches against Pakistan if needed.
New Zealand currently holds the fourth position on the points table for the mega event.
