Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar on Friday welcomed the election date announcement on February 8.
The former Punjab governor had urged the electoral watchdog and administration to hold transparent polls. He underscored the importance of the elections in the country. ‘’The democracy in the country will be strengthened due to the elections,’’ he added.

Sarwar stressed the importance of a level playing field for all political parties.
He was of the view that the elections based on any ‘’doubts’’ will further harm the country.
– Exemplary ties –
PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that the United Kingdom and Pakistan share exemplary relations.
The political secretary of the British High Commission (BHC) called on Hussain. On this occasion, the resolve to foster ties between the two countries was expressed.
Hussain underscored the importance of the overseas Pakistanis, saying, ‘’The Pakistani diaspora living in the United Kingdom is playing a remarkable role in strengthening the relations between the two countries’’.
