Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Marri on Wednesday praised former president Asif Ali Zardari and former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Marri said: ‘’Asif Ali Zardari has raised the slogan of Pakistan khappay. The PPP leadership had always taught to not indulge in using the foul language.’’
‘’Asif Zardari had to face the sentence for doing the politics in this country. Asif Ali Zardari are not too old, but he had suffered various diseases,’’ Marri stated.
She paid homage to Asif Zardari and Bhutto-Zardari for raising voice for the people of Palestine and Kashmir. ‘’Both Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari are feeling the pain of Palestinians,'' she maintained.
‘’Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had raised voice at every forum for granting the Kashmiris and Palestinians their rights,’’ Marri added.
She took a dig at the opponents, saying, ‘’What makes to escape from contesting the elections?’’
– PPP vows to lock horns with PML-N, MQM-P –
The PPP vowed to lock horns with the PML-N and the MQM-P in the general elections.
Reacting to the development of an alliance between the PML-N and MQM-P, PPP leader Saeed Ghani asserted: ‘’ The alliance between the PML-N and MQM-P proves that these parties cannot compete with the PPP alone.’’
‘’The MQM-P had always made claims of contesting the elections alone. The MQM-P proved today that it is not dominating Karachi anymore,’’ Ghani said.
He maintained: ‘’The MQM-P is not daring enough to contest the elections without any alliance. The unrealistic alliance between the PML-N and MQM-P was expected’’.
