Security forces on Wednesday shot dead two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation general area of Ursoon near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Chitral District.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the conduct of the operation, a fierce fire exchange took place between the security forces and terrorists, resulting in the killing of two terrorists.
“Sanitization of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralize any other terrorists found in the area,” it said.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation by the security forces of Pakistan, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
On Monday, security forces gunned down three terrorists and injured three others, while four soldiers also embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Tirah.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, security forces carried out an operation in the general area of Tirah in Khyber District Province on the reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of the operation, Pak Army troops led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as a result of which three terrorists were sent to hell and three terrorists got injured.
However, during the intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said four brave sons of soil: Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider (age: 43 years, resident of Islamabad), Naik Khushdil Khan (age: 31 years, resident of District Lakki Marwat), Naik Rafique Khan (age: 27 years, resident of District Charsadda), and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir (age: 33 years, resident of District Murree), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.
The military’s media wing said that the sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
“Security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
