– Nawaz Sharif will take part in general elections –
PML-N senior leader Rana Sanaullah said today that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will contest elections for the general seat.
Speaking to media at Model Town in Lahore, the former interior minister said the PML-N supremo will soon hold the meetings with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the other political parties.
‘’There is no legal obstacle for Nawaz Sharif to take part in the general elections. Nawaz Sharif will remain the party chief, and Shehbaz Sharif will continue to serve the PML-N as the party president,’’ Sanaullah stated.
Speaking about the possibility of talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sanaullah stated, ‘’The PML-N is ready to hold talks with those leaders of the PTI who were not involved in the May 9 mayhem, for the sake of the economic revival.’’
