Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed dissatisfaction with Marcus Rashford's current form but remains optimistic that the English forward will rediscover his peak performance this season.
Rashford's controversial red card in Copenhagen led to a stunning collapse for United, losing 4-3 and dropping to the bottom of Group A in the Champions League. Despite the setback, Gareth Southgate included him in the England squad.
Ten Hag acknowledged Rashford's unhappiness and said, "We have an expectation. He has high expectations for himself. In this moment, he is not in the best form, but I know he will be back."
Regarding Mason Mount, Ten Hag emphasised that expectations for the midfielder remain unchanged. Mount, who made a £55 million switch from Chelsea, has faced scrutiny for his performance since October.
Ten Hag also addressed Jonny Evans' injury, confirming the defender's absence from the Luton match, compounding United's defensive challenges. Despite the setbacks, Ten Hag expressed confidence in Rashford's and Mount's abilities to rebound and contribute positively to the team.
