Earlier this month, PML-Q Chief Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar had welcomed the election date announcement on February 8.
The former Punjab governor had urged the electoral watchdog and administration to hold transparent polls. He underscored the importance of the elections in the country. ‘’The democracy in the country will be strengthened due to the elections,’’ he added.
Sarwar stressed the importance of a level playing field for all political parties.
He was of the view that the elections based on any ‘’doubts’’ will further harm the country.
