Two soldiers were martyred, while one terrorist was killed during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani soldiers effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and resultantly one terrorist was killed.
However, during intense fire exchange, Sepoy Abdullah (age 25 years, resident of Mardan) and Sepoy Muhammad Sohail (age 19 years, resident of Tharparkar), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.
The military’s media wing said that the sanitization of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralize any terrorists found in the area.
"The security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” it added.
