Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday assailed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over the “vote ko izzat do” narrative.
Addressing the public gathering in Peshawar, Bhutto-Zardari said: “The PPP had won elections many times despite all the conspiracies it had faced. No political party can surpass the PPP’s performance; there is no competition with any political parties”.
He said, “There remains no joy in a country’s politics. The KP masses were deceived under the guise of the health card. The political leaders, aged 70 or more, should sit home and relax.
The masses are fed up with traditional politics and old political leaders.
We want to introduce new politics. We denounce the politics of hatred and foul language.
He stated, “I did not need anybody’s alliance”.
He urged the PPP leadership to forget the differences within the party. No one can compete with you if there are no differences.
– Bilawal credits Zardari for giving KP its ‘identity’ –
Bhutto-Zardari on Friday said that former president Asif Ali Zardari had given Khyber Pakhtunkhwa its own “identity”.
Addressing the workers convention in Mardan, Bhutto-Zardari said: “During the tenure of Asif Ali Zardari, the BISP initiative was rolled out. The poor women were helped with the BISP initiative. The BISP programme is considered a successful initiative in terms of the women's emancipation.”
‘’The country is witnessing ballooning inflation, poverty, and unemployment due to the severe economic hardships,’’ Bhutto-Zardari rued.
‘’If the PPP will vote into power, then there will be the rule of the masses. It is important to have the right manifesto and doctrine to lead the country to success,” the former foreign minister said.
