Former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, who recently stirred controversy with a derogatory statement about Indian actress Aishwarya Rai, is once again facing backlash from Indian cricket fans.
This time, it's due to his comments about India's defeat in the World Cup 2023. During an episode of 'Hasna Mana Hay,' hosted by Tabish Hashmi, Razzaq stated that "cricket won and India lost" when asked about Australia's victory.
He further expressed that cricket remains with the brave and those who give a performance.
Despite facing criticism, Razzaq stood by his remarks, emphasizing that the conditions favoured Australia, and he had never seen such a bad pitch for any ICC final.
He believed that India's loss was great for cricket, as it showcased the importance of bravery, performance, and effort.
“Cricket won & India lost. Had India won the World Cup, it would have been a very sad moment for the game. They used conditions to their advantage and I have never seen such a bad pitch for any ICC final before. It's great for cricket that India lost.”
