Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen vowed on Sunday to focus more on the agriculture sector.
Addressing the party workers’ convention in Kamonke, Jahangir Khan Tareen said, “We met such a person who was not the traditional politician. We had extended support to that person in a bid to make Naya Pakistan.”
At the outset of his speech, Tareen said, “I am not associated with the political family. We were apolitical people. I had taken the step to join politics with clarity of mind.
He underscored the importance of a strong economy. “The economy is the backbone of the country. There is a dire need to boost the industrial sector in a bid to foster the country’s economy."
Tareen stressed the need for creating employment opportunities, saying, “The most important thing to lead the country towards prosperity is to create employment opportunities with a good salary.”
He vowed to fulfil the targets, pertaining to the party’s manifesto. Underscoring the importance of ending poverty, Tareen said, “There is a need to get rid of poverty to lead the country towards prosperity.”
Slamming the political opponents, Tareen said: “The political parties merely make promises but don’t fulfil them.”

Earlier this month, Tareen expressed his resolve to uplift the country.
At the outset of his speech following the inauguration of the IPP’s secretariat in Rawalpindi, Jahangir Tareen praised IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan. “When Aleem Khan sat along with me, I asked him to even conclude my speech,” he stated.
“Aleem Khan is a great person who really worked hard for the PTI chief. When the PTI chief voted into power as the country’s premier, he changed as a person,” Jahangir Tareen added.
He added, “I was quite sad to know that the PTI chief had sent Aleem Khan to jail when the former was the country’s premier”.
Vowing to work to bring prosperity to the country, Jahangir Tareen said, “We will make our country the place for living by providing employment opportunities to the people''.
“We will develop the country in a way that will pave the way for the people to beam with joy,” the IPP patron-in-chief added.
He called for keeping hope to see the country develop. “The real accomplishments would be to fulfil the dreams,” Jahangir Tareen added.
“If we continue to work hard, the higher power will give us success,” Jahangir Tareen stated.
