Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Spokesperson Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that her party believes in democracy.
Addressing a press conference, Ms Awan said, "It is at the top of our priorities to address the masses’ problems."
Speaking about the flood-hit people, Ms Awan said: "IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen has extended his support to the flood-stricken people. The IPP will continue to stand by the flood-hit people."
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts following the party’s CEC meeting, IPP leader Ishaq Khakwani said: "The general elections should be held after the delimitations. Our party represents the masses’ expectations in the real context."
Few days back, Mr Tareen vowed that his party will provide relief to the masses.
Mr Tareen held a meeting with the party leaders. On the occasion, the IPP bigwigs underscored the matters in line with the party and future strategy. Mr Tareen said, "The IPP will form the collective strategy in a bid to take the country out of the crisis."
We will represent the masses in a real context. The IPP will take part in general elections with verve on the basis of its party manifesto.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Saeed Akbar Nawani, Mohammad Shah Khagga, Ishaq Khan Khakwani, and Awn Chaudhry.
– Jahangir Tareen distributes relief goods among flood victims –
Last month, the relief goods were distributed among flood victims in Jhok Janan area of Punjab on behalf Mr Tareen.
IPP leaders including Nazir Baloch and Kainat Raza, distributed ration, shelters, and essential relief materials to the victims.
Local leaders of the party including Nadeem Khan Ghallu and Malik Shahnawaz Kaliyar were also present.
Mr Tareen’s spokesperson said that more relief goods would be distributed in other flood-hit areas tomorrow.
He also assured the flood-affected people of full support from the IPP.
