Bannu authorities Thursday imposed Section 144 to improve the law and order situation in the city prohibiting the display of weapons, pillion riding, and tinted windows of vehicles.
Section 144 will be applicable from today till December 3, 2023, amid the ongoing polio campaign.
Terrorist killed in Bannu
In an Intelligence-based operation (IBO) of CTD in Dumel area of Bannu, a terrorist was killed and another was arrested in an exchange of fire. The terrorists belonged to the Khafez Gul Bahadur group, the CTD spokesman said
"Weapons and mobile phones recovered from terrorists. The terrorists had fired on the police team assigned to the security of Polioki last day," the spokesperson added.
The terrorists were also involved in the attack on Khurram Karak police station and police post a few days ago, the spokesman added..
