The Sindh Department of Education on Thursday officially declared the winter vacation schedule for all educational institutions today, ushering in a wave of excitement among students as the cold season approaches.
The eagerly awaited winter vacation is scheduled to take place from December 22 to December 31, offering a well-deserved break for students in schools, colleges, and universities across the province.
The announcement, made by the education department spokesperson, follows the decision of the department's annual steering committee, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the previously established schedule.
The secretary of education confirmed that all private and government educational institutions would resume their regular activities on January 1, 2024.
Contrasting reports on social media had sparked speculation about a potential shift in the winter vacation dates, but the provincial administration of Sindh clarified that the schedule would proceed as planned. The decision was reached during a discussion led by the Sindh interim education minister, who spearheaded the lower committee of the provincial steering committee.
In addition to unveiling the winter vacation schedule, officials shed light on crucial dates related to the academic calendar. According to the new academic schedule, schools are set to commence the new academic year on April 15, 2024, while colleges will initiate their academic activities from August 1, 2024.
