Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain asserted on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) government had tried to brand former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as a "culprit."
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Hussain said: "It is the right of all the political parties to get a level playing field. The PTI should also have a level playing field."
He went on to talk about former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. "It's been about four times that we have met Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. The tribulations that Parvez Elahi is now facing compelled him to think about at what stage he stands now."
Hussain lavished his praise on PML-Q supremo Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. "Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has always prioritised family. The family remained united as Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has always taken everybody on board."

"The country is witnessing ballooning inflation as we are relying more on imported goods," he said.
Pointing out the possibility of seat adjustment with the political parties, Hussain said, "We will opt for the adjustment on some seats. The PML-Q will contest elections for up to 15 seats in the Punjab Assembly. We will contest elections for up to eight seats in the National Assembly".
Speaking about the Pakistan Democratic Movement's (PDM) tenure, Hussain said: "During the first three months of its rule, the PDM-led government could not decide whether to continue to rule or go for the elections."
He recounted, "Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif were having very good working relationships during the PDM-led government."
Recalling the events that transpired on May 9, Hussain said: "The May 9 events cannot be forgotten. Those who were involved in the May 9 vandalism should not be given a level playing field, as it will be unfair to the country.
