After MQM-Pakistan, now the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has invited PML-N leader and former finance minister Miftah Ismail to join the party.
The PPP has contacted the former PML-N minister, and is awaiting a response.
However, later, Miftah Ismail responded to the media reports, saying he had quit electoral politics for now and was busy writing articles.
Towards the end of October, the MQM had once again re-energized in the political arena of Karachi, as MQM-Pakistan senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar has verified the media reports that he has offered PML-N leader Miftah Ismail to join his party.
He claimed that Miftah Ismail declared the need for a common national agenda inevitable and would get back after thinking about it.
Dr Sattar claimed meetings between the two would continue.
Farooq Sattar said if Karachi is owned, developed and saved, then consider that Pakistan as a whole has been rescued.
“Miftah Ismail's economic vision is very broad,” he remarked, adding that the former finance minister has said that he would respond to the offer after thinking about it.
