Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Zaka Ashraf likened on Wednesday all the franchises to the backbone of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Addressing the PSL 9 drafting ceremony in Lahore, Ashraf said, "A league that started as a seed of an idea in 2016 has now grown into a towering tree.".
Expressing his good wishes for all the teams, Ashraf stated: "The upcoming PSL 9 matches will take place in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi."

Earlier today, Islamabad United batter Azam Khan said hat he was currently working on his fitness ahead of the ninth edition of the PSL.
Expressing his thoughts, Azam made it clear that he wants to clinch title for the United in the upcoming edition of the domestic premium tournament.
He highlighted the importance of adaptability, saying, "I believe in making a conscious effort to play in any position where the team requires my skills. Wherever the team needs me, I will strive to play and make a positive impact."
Regarding his approach to the game, Azam Khan emphasised, "I focus on my game, and my primary responsibility is to perform."
Azam Khan expressed his determination for the upcoming season, stating, "The effort will be to perform wherever the team needs me. The collective goal is to deliver standout performances for Islamabad United."
